A4 1.8 starting issues, sputtering bad starts when cold
Hey guys , recently started having issues with my car it's a Audi automatic A4 b5 1.8non turbo 175k km. when starting cold it idles very rough and sputters like the rpms go up and down and the whole car shakes and i smell fuel. If I don't touch the gas pedal it stalls out but if I keep pressing gas the whole problem goes away in about two minutes time and it drives fine afterwards although sometimes I do feel some loss of power and the fuel smell stays sometimes. Once the engine is warm I can turn it off and it won't start back on unless I unplug the battery for a few minutes and then it starts back on without the sputtering problems I mentioned earlier in guessing since the engine is warmed up. I had problems with the car stalling on me afew months ago, I had sparks replaced , wires and coil pack this solved that problem of stalling but now I'm having these starting issues. Has anyone had this happen ? I'm guessing it has to be some sensor maybe 02 sensor or crankshaft ? Maybe air sensor or maf ? Vag isn't showing any error codes :X if anyone has suggestions please help me out ! Thanks
