Ok i have just a few test-fit pictures with two of the mounting brackets for the bumper that i will glass in. I also filled the large gaps created during the molding of the bumper, left on the inside. Although you'll never see it I hope it will slightly add strength and reduce vibration. I used a simple industrial expanding foam and just trimmed out the excess after it dried.

My grill should be arriving any day so i will get some new pics up ASAP with it fitted up.

The next day i get some time i'm going to fab-up a cross member from the two mounting points under the headlights that will replace the original aluminum support. I might even weld some tubes going down in a trapizoid shape that adds some support to the bottom of the new bumper in case it rubs the ground.

PS****
I could use some input on an idea i had to tone down the "flashy" look. the rest of the car has no real distinctive body lines like the sharp line above each side vent....so i think i might shave and smooth it out to flow better. any ideas?? Also thinking about smoothing and filling the very bottom "sharp" edgy look to appear a little more rounded (take a look at that blue car i posted before....the way the light hits the bumper just makes those sharp angle stand out and not flow well with the rest of the car.

I dont know....just trying to figure it out now before i actually mount it. Thanks for the help!

I think shaving would make the car complete and compliment the front. Like you said, the front is a little "flashy" in which toning down and cleaning the rest of the body seem like a great idea.

The side moldings and trunk are two things you can shave. I'd also roll out the fenders while you're at it and pull them out (2.8_tuner did this) and run some wide wheels with the right offset.

Seems like your project is coming along nicely and quickly! I can't wait to see the end result.

those guy's are using S4 sideskirts. i think the only way to smooth out the look would be doing something with those huge airducts. the rest of the bumper doesn't look too flashy

for some reason that bumper gives a larger over hang look. maybe try curving the bottom portion of the bumper inwards like an S4 bumper, rather than how it flares out like it is now.

UPDATE: Shaved down some of the sharp angels and smoothed in some corners for a slightly more OEM B7 look. It's not 100% yet but it's in the direction i want it to be going. Look closely to see the difference, the side of the bumper used to have a very sharp 90 degree in it and above the side grill was a strange one inch raised molding that wrapped from the front to the back.

HERES A FEW BEFORE PICS TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY:

THEN I FILLED BEHIND THE MOLDING PEICE WITH A FIBERGLASS ADDED BONDO SO I COULD GRIND OFF THAT WHOLE PEICE WITHOUT A BIG GAPING HOLE.

Much better! Now if you could do something about the bottom, center edges of the air ducts. Increase the curve a bit.
