Default A8 BBK install

Alright, after much thrashing from some of you (you know who you are ) I finally made time to put on the A8 brakes:

Things were going just fine, nothing a little PB Blaster and some elbow grease couldn't handle. However, ironically (or maybe not), I snapped a coupla guide pins. I say ironically because this was the only hardware i had planned on re-using. I say maybe not because I should have learned by now to expect that from my car lol

I'm going to continue putting everything back together as much as I can. I have an email in to RAI to see if they carry these in stock. If so I'll just drive up there and buy a couple. If not I'll have to over night them from ECS. More pics to come as things progress.

Now do a Jetta engine swap.

BTW - today is 8/8 and I just hit 8,000 post count. I'm too freaking awesome.

lol nerds. Finished up about 2 hours ago. Passenger's side went really smooth. Brakes look huge behind the 16in. wheels, I'll grab pics after I wash the thing. The slide pins on the passenger's side look way newer than the driver's side. I'm wondering if they've not been replaced before?

Go out and find some girls to take pictures next to your new brakes.

Or else...

Definitely about damn time. Let me know if you are stuck. I have extra guide pins. I'll overnight them to you. Just order a couple in the next few weeks and send them up when you can (I need to keep a couple spares on hand) to replace them.
