I have an Audi A4. 1999. The problem that i am having is here and there my ABS light comes on and so does my brake light. The ABS light is on and Brake light is flashing. Im thinking its a fuse, cause it happens on and off, I dont notice a difference of the perfrormance of the car when the lights are on or off, I need to figure out the solution. My dashboard has no other lights on so i want it to look clean, i cant stand when lights are blinking near your speedo. let me know. Could it be fuse or falty sensor. i dunno if anyone has any imput please let me know. thanks alot
Ric

check my garage for pics.

Search the forum, or look over page 1 and 2 on this forum. Sounds like a bad abs module, on its way out.

Dallas is correct. If your abs light is on and the BRAKE light is flashing...it's more than likely your abs module....not your sensors. If your ABS light and BRAKE lights are SOLID on, then it's a sensor or a speed ring....

thanks guys. Hopefully i can get this rebuilt A.S.A.P. What is the E.T.A of sending out a ABS modual and getting it back fixed correctly. Another question, Is it bad to run the car when this sequence is blinking. What are the cons for this situation? thanks alot. Shout out to all my fans out there. I know i am pretty much the cooliest thing ever. check my garage.

There's no problem to drive the car without ABS. I'm sure at least 20-30% of us currently are
Only downside is that you have blinking lights, and no anti-lock brakes. Your brakes still work just fine, but if you had to slam them on you would be risking locking up all four tires and going into a slide. Keep a little more distance between you and the car in front of you (especially if it's raining) and you'll be fine.

As for turn-around time on the module repair, most places will ship it back out to you within 2 days of receiving it.
