Default ABS Sensor

One of my ABS sensors is broken. I am curious if anyone here can provide me with instructions on how I can replace it. It's not the ABS module but the sensor on the wheel that is broken.

you just have to remove the wheel from the corresponding location and just pop out the sensor, it wil be located right outside where the wheel bearing is. then you will have to fich the wires out and do the same for the replacement. I know this applies to the front as I have changed my front right one about 2 months ago, and the b5 vw passats use the same exact sensor btw, just that one has a audi logo, the other has vw logo woopudydoodadi.......

They can be hard to remove, they are usually frozen in there. The easiest way to remove them is to pull the wheel carrier out so you can tap them out instead of try to pull them out.. That can be alot of work though, it might just take some work to get them out. Trace the wire up to the rubber grommet, and pull out the rubber grommet to get to the connector. If it is a rear sensor, you remove the rear seat (simply pull up on it) and disconnect it there and feed the wire through.

I purchased an ABS sensor at my local AutoZone. It was a special order.

I second the opinion above that it's hard to remove because of rust. I could not get the old sensor in one piece. Before installing the new sensor I cleaned out the hole and applied anti seize.
