ABS Sensor/Light being automaticly tripped
Hi new to the forum, I have a 1996 audi A4 2.8L Turbo Fwd. When i bought the car one of the first things the previous owners told me about on the test drive was how i was going to feel the brakes pulseate a few times the first couple times i stop. He explained that it was due to him painting the front calipers and overpray on the abs sensor that trips the breaks. It only happens the first couple times i stop, every time i drive, then the light comes on and the brakes act normaly but the light stays on the remainder of the drive. i was wondering if anyone might be able to help me solve this problem. I was told to spray brake cleaner on the calipers or find the sensor and scrape the paint of, any ideas are greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
It may not have anything to do with paint on the calipers. Do a search for "ABS Control Module" and you can get more information, but basically the ABS control module on every B5 A4 fails. Audi refuses to conduct a recall, however, so you are stuck with it.
