Default air bag question on b5

98 b5 1.8t Quattro 5speed

After the air bags deploy will that cause your engine stall continuously when trying to start it. Does air bag module needs to be replaced or reset in order for the car to stay running?

no your car should run fine after airbags go off. What caused them to go off?

Do you have any check engine light or is it just the ABS light? Sounds like you may be in for a little more trouble than just a popped air bag...

Yeah... airbag deployment definitely won't cause the engine to not start. But you will need to replace the airbag module or forever be stuck with an airbag light (I know from experience).

Like others said, you've got something else causing the car not to start.
