Looking to install an alarm in my recently bought '98 A4. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like it to lock and unlock, to beep when alarm is set and the lights to dim in and out when you open it like when you do with the key.

So all I have to do is buy a alarm remote / remote key switchblade and get it programmed??[&:]

I hate using the key to lock and unlock the car.[:@] But I do love the horn sound to let me know the car is locked (and I guess alarmed)

 

that is correct but i don't know the exact process but just do a search because there used to be a billion posts on this topic lol
