Default Alright guys, I need some help.

Recently put a new engine in my car, 2.8l 12v v6. After a **** ton of work over a period of a year plus, she won't start . The car is cranking, but I can't get it to fire. I checked my spark by touching the plugs to the intake manifold one at a time, and had no spark in either.

Also scanned with VCDS lite and came up with no engine codes (although cel is on). Where to start? I really need the help guys. If I don't make the fall meet the Devil is going to keep my soul, and I need it.

I had the same problem. How much gas is in the tank? Is it fresh or did you add fresh gas to old gas? Throw a bottle of seafoam into your gas tank and see if that don't help.

The gas In there is incredibly old. I added some fuel stabilizer stuff to it, can't remember what it was. I'll try the seafoam tomorrow and update :-p

Well my car sat for 6 months with an 1/8 of a tank. A bottle or two of seafoam and a couple gallons of fresh premium helped it fire. Once it starts to catch, romp on it and hold it at around 2000 rpm for a couple minutes.

K I'm hoping that's what the problem is here. If it is I'm totally sending you a sandwich.

Unhappy LONG POST. Sorry!

No luck with the seafoam. Ran an autoscan with VCDS-lite and the following was displayed::::::

VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1

I don't understand what the part that reads Label: Redir Fail! means... and am also thinking that with my CEL on that I would have some kind of DTCs other than the ABS ****.

Another thing, displayed on the monitor between the tach and spedo there are some flashing symbols, one being an oil can with drippy drops falling, and above that in the yellow region is some kind of beaker looking symbol that is spouting some kind of fluid. Can anyone identify these for me? Hoping I can get pointed in the right direction.

One more thing, in my odometer under my mileage flashes a "ln 2" over and over. What gives with this?

^Bad, dangerous, no-no!!!

Is it a tiptronic? If so, be sure the TCM is plugged in and code-free. If you've yanked the engine, you've unplugged a lot of stuff... something is probably not plugged in. Crank position sensor, TCM, coil pack...

Also, I believe ln 2 is just a service interval light.
