Default Another B5 owner with a bad hazard switch

So, I was using the search, unusual for most newbs I know. I saw that someone posted this web site for ordering our hazard switch. Would this be the best place to order the part from, or is there a better web site that I should check out? This is actually the cheapest price I've seen so far, and they seem to be trusted. I just want to hear everyone's opinion. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

Never had any experience with that website but I have ordered couple of things from ECS and PureMS. Both are very reputable companies in the industry.

You will be needing the relay not the switch to fix the problem.

PureMS offers will-call pick up if you're located in SoCal to save some money on shipping or even save some time.

Best of luck.

Thanks, I'd like to know what are considered reputable companies for ordering our parts. You can't trust just any business that's out there. The only thing that I'm confused about is that you said to just get the relay. Isn't the relay inside the switch we're supposed to order?

Yeah, I made sure that it's not the fuse. The relay for the emergency lights work fine, it's just that the turn signal relay burnt out. I even tried attempting to switch the relays on the circuit board, but I think my soldering gun is too cheap and I couldn't get out the little pins.

I'd consider them reputable when they have been in the business for a while and offer good (if not great) customer service. Those 2 companies would probably be the companies most people would refer when it comes to OEM parts or even some aftermarket parts.

I've personally dealt with PureMS and so did couple of other members in SoCal and we have no complains. The owner is a great guy and will take the time to explain things to you. PureMS also has an IM/chatting service during work hours that makes life that much easier. I also need to say that I have no affiliation to these companies. Just sharing my experience.

When you go to PureMS's website, they sell the switch it self and the relay.

*Update*

My extremely nice father-in-law took the time to find an A4 in a junkyard today, and was able to find me the part. I got it hooked up when I came home from work and now I'm back in business. No more bicycle hand signs out the window! Thanks guys for all the advice!
