Default another engine problem

ok the engine runs weird, when im at a stop i feel the engine shakes, like if it has too much power, there is a strong smell of smoke sometimes, also when in over 20 mph the car is not stable, i did the alignment about a month ago, so thats not the problem, what should i start checking, or what could be causing the strange shake of the engine..

Any CEL's? Maybe try doing the engine and tranny mounts.

Sounds like engine mounts... When was the last time you tuned up the car?

check the engine mounts to see if they look like they have any dark liquid that came out at one point, means they are blown and not holding your engine well... do your rpm's jump up and down at idle? or just shaking?

Inspect the inner front CV joints as well - failing inner joints cause straight-line instability and some wander, where you'll have to keep correcting the direction of the car.
