Default Anyone Else having issues with their flexpipes?

I have a 98 1.8t, anyway. I have had an issue with my flexpipe rusting out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what you guys are doin to remedy it. Right now I just bought a temporary replacement from auto zone cut my old one out, and placed the 2.5 over the pipe.is there anything i can spray on it to prevent it from rusting so quickly?

(too much damn salt and sand on the roads in Minnesota)

thanks guys

both my flex pipes have rusted hole in them since summer. I haven't replaced them yet, even to the noise is annoying as hell, its funn to floor it and get the heads turning by the sound. Im going to just buy universals and get them cut and welded in. I tried to patch it but it just came off. Maybe try an exhaust wrap once you fix them to keep the heat in and extra protectant from the salt? Maine roads are just as bad, i know how you feel.

any online auto store or napa or something liek that. Theres bunches of them, just make sure the inlet and outlet pipes are the same sizes.

I'm on my second one in about a year and half. It seems if it's too long it will sag the back end of your exhaust and wear it out. Having really bad motor mounts seemed to have also helped shortening the lifespan of my flexpipe. Get one that is about 6" or so long. It seems to hold everything together nicely, that is what I just got today and everything sits nicely underneath.
