I'm not sure how that would trip a CEL. Airbag warning lights are common, and they're usually the driver's side seat airbag. When you move the seat too far back, it puts tension on the connector, pulling it just enough to trip the light. Go to AutoZone and have them scan the car and see what code comes up. I'd be surprised if it wasn't a seat airbag. If it is, look under the front of the seat - you'll see a yellow connector there. That's the airbag connector. Being careful of the small wires on the back, zip-tie the connector as tightly as you can, and then have the light turned off (see if the guy at AutoZone will do it - some will, some won't, but it's free, versus paying a dealer an hour's labor to push a couple buttons).

1 i wouldnt mess with the airbag, its literlly a bomb waiting to go off, also ive heard of the sprign in teh airbag issue but still take it to autozone, it may be the otehr common problems such as a loose connecter like upstate said or a loose conection on the airbag module.
