Default anyone have a way to test the MAF with a meter?

We're working on diagnosing a problem with an AHA Passat 2.8 and want to meter out the MAF if possible. Anyone know what impedances/voltages to expect for a good MAF and what pinouts to measure on the connector?

If anyone has additional input it'd be great. TIA...

I am new to Audi, but from other brands the general issue is, that testing the MAF would cost more than buying a new one right away.
You still wonder why nobody tests them?

How is buying a new MAF for a few hundred dollars less expensive than putting my meter probes across the various terminals to check if the impedances are within a defined spec?I'm not talking about sending it to a shop - I'm talking about looking for an open or shorted element like I'd do with an o2 sensor. Many of our sensors' measurements are documented and I'm trying to see whether the MAF is too. So in that respect, yeah I do wonder why basic checks aren't made before blindly throwing money at the parts.
