Basically it's the time of year(smog) and worst case scenario happened. I need to replace the SAI pump AND the combi valve. I muscled my way thru the SAI pump and got it done. POS brittle hose broke in the process but only a $13 fix so no biggie. Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to this combi valve. I got the parts so I'm just waiting on well... a guide. I'm going to see if I can figure it out myself, hopefully I can.

 

look under my name - I spend a bit of time tracing things from the ECU box through the SAI pump to the Combi Valve. Is you car a 1.8?

For the 2.8 you have to remove the air intake pipe and throttle body pipe. That way you have more access to the valve. On the driver side you need to unscrew the coolant tank and put it to the side to get access to that valve.

I think you need a 5 or 6 mm allen key or socket and a flex ratchet 1/4 drive.
