Anything i should be concerned about?
Prolly gonna be doin a rear wheel bearing here in the next few days. i read the audiworld tech article for it. seems pretty straight forward. dont worry i got access to all the tools i could possibly need, even a 40 ton press (hopefully i wont need to use all fort tons haha). im just wondering if there is anything i should really need to worry about beyond what it says in the article...
no. but just make sure you press the bearing in correctly using the outer race to press it into the spindle and the inner race to press it onto the hub.
also some people have a hard time with the abs sensor, just wiggle and pull it out
oh. the rear tie rod end sometimes will pop loose and spin while your trying to remove the lock nut. It has a hole in the end of it so you can stick an allen wrench in there and hold it from spinning while you remove the nut.
make sure you make a reference mark on the lower control arm eccentric bolt so you line it back up in the same location so your alignment doesnt get messed up.
thats about all the tricks i can think of.

The bearing isn't symetrical. I messed up and had the new bearing halfway pressed in before realizing it was in backwards
If your concerned about breaking the ABS sensor you can unplug the harness from underneith the rear seat. worked out good for me. The press didn't work very good for me. couldn't get the hub lined up right due to the shape. I ended up throwing some heat to it, and then using a hammer & socket to tap it out. a neat trick a friend showed me was to put the new bearing in the freezer for about 30 minutes. tapped right in with ease.
