Default APR Stage 1, DV, spool question

Hey everyone,

2000 B5 1.8T ATW is the car.

The APR flash (93 octane file) and new DV (710n, stock orientation) went well. It look a couple days for the ECU to adapt l but it's since been much better.

The concern I have is that it feels like something is holding back the car from going as fast as it wants.. Does this make sense to anyone, or am I imagining things? Could it be the stock exhaust? N75?

Well, yes, that doesn't really mean anything to anyone.

Do you have a boost gauge? If not, start there.

Yeah, I have the boost gauge from ECS- it's showing the correct boost (peaking at 22, then going down to 15).

But it just doesn't feel like it's moving as fast as it wants to.. does that make any sense?

Not really. How are you determining that "it should be faster?" Your gut? Has the car ever been faster?

22psi dropping to 15psi is totally reasonable and expected.

A more free flowing exhaust and cat would definitely help you make more power and spool quicker though.

You know how you feel when you think something is wrong with your car, but you can't put your finger on it? Yeah, that's how I'm feeling.
