Opening this one up.. did a search, found very little

Originally I did not intend to mod my car to badly but lets just say i've got the bug.

BUT, I have a friend with a k04 he is trying to rid off, it is used, but still has lots of life on it, he would practically give it to me only if i pick up his bar tab one night. So i'm curious, would this work well with the apr( stage 1) software i currently have flashed on the ECU? Will it go into limp mode? Would it use extra power in the turbo, or is it pointless?

Before anyone says "you should buy this turbo!" the only reason i am considering this is because the price is right, and if it would bump me 30 hp or so i think ill spend a weekend dropping it in.

Your thoughts?

You wouldn't get any major gains without a K04-specific tune.

 

**** ill buy the k04 id love to have it, would keep me from buying my 2006 a4.
