I read on wikipedia that the A4 comes in a 2.7L turbo. But i have seen none of these for sale so I'm assuming that these were only sold in Europe. (I'm in Canada) I would like a car that would put out about 220hp. I am a A4 fan and was wondering if this car was sold in canada. And if not what would you suggest?

 

Not sure about Canada, but they're available in the US, tuned to the same 250hp spec as the S4 (where the engine is also found). If you're looking for 220hp and can't find this car, get an A4 1.8T and mod it. You can easily exceed that power goal with this model.

 

Im fairly confident that no matter where you are the 2.7t in a B5 body is the S4. Now the A6 S-Line has it as well but not sure if its detuned compared to an S6 or if those years had the 4.2 in the S6 dont have a clue lol.

 

Yes, any 2.7T powered B5 is an S4. As well as I can recall from reading, the engine wasn't detuned for use in the A6, but was put in there in full-force 250hp trim.

The 2.7t in the A6 was detuned, compared to the S4. It has a more of a comfort oriented setup that has different torque and power output.

S6 was a 4.2L V8, but I don't think it was ever available in the States, though there was a 4.2L A6 available here. RS6 became available later, as well as an A6 S-Line.
