Audi A4 98 Transmission Issues
hello everyone,
I have an Audi A4 Quattro 98 2.8 V6 triptonic and have trouble with the transmission, I think. This is what happened, two months ago I took it to the shop to fix a oil leak from the engine, when I went to picked it up from the shop I notice that the car was not working properly, I notice that when I shift, the car will accelerate by itself, from 2nd it wouldn't shift to 3rd, I had to do it manually in order to shift to 3rd and 4th, and that is the only issue I had at that moment.
Two weeks ago, it gotten worse, now when I try to shift manually to 3rd, for certain reason the PRND432 blinks, and I’m not able to move it manually, then the triptonic disappears and I only have the automatic option and on top of that, when I accelerate the car will not move forward and will only revolution to 7RPM, then I have to turn off the car to come back to the triptonic option.
Any suggestion or advice? The mechanics here are telling me that is the transmission but is to expensive to fix it, can you help me out?
thanks in advance for any help....

transmission. Expensive fix. Not all mechanics are tryna hustle you. I was gonna say it could be since the battery may have been unplugged. The car drives like **** for about a day or so to get everything back in order once the batterys plugged back in but since it's still going on that long after the shop had it, your transmission could be poopin out
