audi a4 b5 clicking noise! =(
i have a 1996 audi a4 b5 2.8 quattro. I had this strange clicking noise coming from the front of the car when i park or when i press on the brakes while slowing down at low speeds. Now I installed a new control arm kit and new front left and right axels assembies. I thought that would fix the problem but guess what it hasn't. I was wondering if someone has had the same experience as me. I hope to hear from someone. Thanks!

i was thinking it might be the driveshaft too aswell...the "click" occurs when i apply pressure to the brakes and feel it vibrate on the pedal...might be a caliper issue? my front rotors are pretty worn out too aswell.

That vibration in the pedal is more than likely your rotors since you say they are worn out. The clicking might be a loose caliper or pad, take the wheel off and make sure everything is nice and tight, easy to forget sometimes.

I had a similar problem after I did my Control Arms. I pushed the Drivers side abs/speed sensor in too far and it would click when I would slow down. It would only happen right after I start the car, the first time I press the brakes. Weird.
Anyways, I had my ABS and Traction control light on after I did my CA's and finally got a chance to check everything out to see why. I checked all the wires on my ABS/Speed sensor and pulled the sensor out of the knuckle to find that it was mutilated. That's probably the problem.
