Audi A4 Breather Hose Kit

Audi A4 Breather Hose Kit
Hey gang, y'all have been more than helpful so far so hopefully you can come to the rescue once again. The breather hoses on my son's recently aquired 2.8 liter 1998 Audi A4 Quattro look as if they've been busted in half and then Duct Taped together by one or more (former) maintenance personnel. I just checked the web sites of ECS Tuning and BLAUParts; they both sell PCV Breather Hose kits for 1998 2.8 liter models, unfortunatley they both specify the VIN needs to be 007800 or higher, and the VIN on our car is in the 0045xx range.
The question: Any idea where I might be able to buy a breather kit for our A4?

If your car is a 98 then it should be part # 078-103-224r. It is y-shaped. The earlier designed were 2 seperate hoses that go from the valve covers to the air intake hose on the back of the engine.

Update:
After calling around to various Audi dealerships and internet Audi specialists, I've finally managed to come up with all of the parts to replace the breather system for my son's low serial number (as in less than 007800) 1998 2.8 A4 Quattro. Funny thing, I actually had to argue with two dealership based parts departments who were insisting our car is a 1997, this in spite of the fact that the window sticker clearly says 1998.
Long story short, a resourceful sales type at ECS Tuning managed to effectively piece together a "Kit" (took him almost a half of an hour) which matches the kit sold for B5 models with serial numbers 007800 and higher. Yes I had to pay more than their regular kit, but still way-way less than buying the same parts from a dealership. ECS Tuning gets a serious thumbs up for this one.
I'll let y'all know how everything works out when I get the car all back together.
