i just replaced that today, and OMG it was such a b!tch!!! it wasnt too hard to get off, i just cut it apart and puled it off, but CRAP the stiffer thicker one i got was amazingly hard to put on. but its on now. and m glad. the old one looked sooo nasty, the inside was straight up rotting. yuck

 

i had a about a 2" hole in mine and it was so nasty inside there. i didnt have to much trouble getting the new one on even though it was alot more stiff.

 

Old age and thousands of miles with heat made mine impossible to remove, more trouble then i had in mind when i took on the project.

 

yeah ichanged mine like 2 weeks ago. i posted on here warning people of how bad it gets on the inside. theres also a JM recall on those so go get it checked out.

 

its even more of a pain on the 2.8
