So when guys go BT and have 01.5's (AWM) and swap to the large port head (AEB) they do so knowing it will not work as you state? The only thing not on there would be the VVT/breather tube from the head and a couple of other things but it would definitely "work". If you can find the part #'s for the different K03's that came on our cars i'd be more than happy to retract my statement in regards to that.

Yep, none of his accessories would fit and he would hate life and you screwed him. And you are correct, there is no "s" turbo. We enthusiast named it that. However there is a difference between them. The blade count is fewer for better results at higher pressure along with a bigger compressor on the revamped "s" model.

Ko3 - 97-2000

COMPRESSOR WHEEL
Inducer: 33.6mm
Exducer: 46mm
Tip height: 3.7mm

TURBINE WHEEL
Inducer: 45mm
Exducer: 38mm
Tip height: 6.8mm
Blades: 11

Ko3S - 01+

COMPRESSOR WHEEL
Inducer: 38mm
Exducer: 51mm
Tip height: 4.4mm

TURBINE WHEEL
Inducer: 45mm
Exducer: 38mm
Tip height: 6.8mm
Blades: 11

No, that is completely different. You can use an AEB head on either 1.8t block (058 or 06a) with little modification, however, we are talking about an aeb/058 car, and what engine setup it needs. You claim "a 1.8 is a 1.8" which simply isnt true. He needs an 058 block to be able to use his accessory drive and, even more importantly, so his ecu and wiring harness will be compatible with the engine. This thread is over, you don't understand what you're talking about, and shouldn't be giving out wrong advice that could cost people lots of money and headaches.

He is not getting the blocks are different in the AEB and ATW than all the other blocks made. So a 1.8 is NOT a 1.8
