I have 1997 audi a4 the belt that goes around the fan just messed up my brake light, battery LIGHT came on and it started over heating does any one have any idea how much it would cost to replace the belt???

 

i dont know how it messed up the brake lights. obviously hte battery light came on because its also around the alternator. if you have a few hex keys and and open end wrench its about $20 for the belt. otherwise i think a independent shop will do it for 100-150.
