I have a 2000 b5 a4, and I cannot figure out why when the doors are open the floor lights come on but the upper interior lights do not. The switches are all in the correct position, and when I turn them on manually they work properly. Does anyone have any advice?

I thought that myself, but the front and rear lights do not come on. I can't remember if they operate separately.

 

prob its a vagcom thing than someone might of programmed it that way

 

Oh, and the floor lights still come on when I open the doors. Oh well it doesn't bother me too much. I was thinking maybe someone else ran into the same issue.

 

As far as the vagcom thing, I've had the car for about 3 years and it used to work. Oh well I only have it for a few more months. It's got 215k miles on it. Things are bound to start going wrong

 

hmm wow ummmm idk thats weird

 

is it all the doors or jsut the drivers door?
