I'm thinking of swapping the silver rings in my front grill of my 07 S4 for some black ones. does anyone know if thats possible or has been done before?

also I know there's already a post about changing the interior lights and I've already checked it out, but I was wondering if any1 knows how to install the lights or at least give me some tips. What i plan on doing is either changing all the lights into blue or keeping them and getting this kit off ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLUE-...34864644QQrdZ1

if any1 has ANY expertise in installing these PLEASE help me out cuz i have no experience with wiring the lights into my car.

The lights should be pretty straight forward once you get the bulb housing off. Just pop off the bulb and put in your blue or whatever choice of color you decide. The rings iam not sure bout wanted it done also but didnt ever find a soulution.

 

For black rings, I just did it myself (99 B5 A4). Remove the rings from the grill, and sand them down to get the chrome off (or scuffed up at any rate). I used a Black and Decker Mouse sander and sanded them down, then painted them with black spray paint. Final touch was two light coats of clear spray to get a matte finish, and it matches the sheen of the grille perfectly. It's very easy to do. On a B7, I'm not sure (I don't know what you have to do to remove them) but on the B5 at least it's a snap. If you want pics, PM me and I'll snap a couple and send them over.

 

I looked for information on how to change the interior lights but couldnt find it anywhere... could you give me a link maybe?

ok thanks man, i'm gonna pm you about the rings.
as for the interior lights, i have a friend who has experience with the lights so hes gonna help me set it up, also the place where im buying the led lights told me they'll send me some instructions but im not sure how helpful they are. if you want, pm me and i can send you the instructions when they send it to me
