I was wondering if its possible to do an auto to manual trans swap on my 97 a4 2.8. Instead of rebuilding my auto id much rather swap it over to a manual but from what ive heard the crank needs to be swapped? Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

the crank does not need to be swap i believe you just need a differnt bearing instead to take over the crank somthing like that theres a how to guide somewhere on this forums someone should link u soon or google search it

Thanks i was reading through it but mines a 2.8 does it all apply the same from the 1.8t to the 2.8? Such as grinding down the crank and all.

 

im not positive but it should not be too much differnt the 2.8 tranny is the trans he;s using so if not it will be familuar
