automatic worth boosting?

so i got a 97 1.8t quattro AUTOMATIC and was wondering if i should even bother putting money into boosting it without getting a new transmission

250-300whp can be done fine on a tip tranny

Depends on what you want to do. If your just looking for a boost, just a chip and bolt ons. If you want more, you need a power level in mind to know what turbo to get

haha im new to this dont really know what i want... basically to make the car faster without spending a ton of money
