Hey I was just curious if there were any avant owners who have been able to make their hatch open after hitting the hatch unlock button on their key fob. I've read about Golf owners being able to do that. But I haven't found anything for avants. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

 

I feel like you'd need some kind of hydraulic/pneumatic actuator for that?

 

You could probably use a door popper assembly for shaved handles...

 

for golfs it's really simple to do the mod. all they have to do is flip the bracket for their hatch struts and a little modding of the other bracket and the hatch will open right up. It's just weird that golfs can do it but I haven't seen anyone with avants do anything similar to that before

 

Well both of the struts that hold the hatch up are blown out on my car so you try it and let me know LOL

 

Alright sounds like a plan. Hahaha. The struts on mine are on their last legs I think... hopefully I don't get smacked in the head one of these days.
