Default axle nut excitement!

Holy crap was that a surprise.

From all the reading i expected the axle nut on my car to be tight but WOW.

I got a 17mm socket in the mail because it was practically impossible to find locally. UPS came and I couldn't wait to try it.

I first gave it a shot with a 24" breaker just to see what the fuss was all about. The axle nut only laughed at me. Then I went and grabbed the 4 foot bar that is the handle to my floor jack and gave it the business.

I was kinda pumped up from all the levering and heard a huge CRACK! I thought sh** I broke the nut or bar or socket or something. Low and behold when I looked everything was in one piece and the nut was finger loose as everyone says.

Tomorrow, new axle here I come!

*note: also I wanted to throw in that I won the Napa lottery and got an actual Audi stamped rebuilt axle!
