Default B5 S4 Headlight Wiring

Hey guys my 2001 S4's passenger side headlight was randomly flickering from high beams to low beams etc while driving, any time i'd hit a bump it would occur. So naturally I figure they're shorting out somewhere..

Pulled the cover off the back of the high beams to expose the wires... they are definitely exposed and all kinds of fucked. If we wiggled the harness around the problem was duplicated, so I wrapped the exposed wires in electrical tape.. Now the passenger side headlights don't come on at all, removed tape and swore at old man winter - now I'm just going to replace all the wires.

Question Is there a specific gauge wire I need to use in here?

Use 16 gauge wire. Pretty sure that's what's in there and by all expectations it should be just fine.

How ya been man?
