JL makes some great subwoofers, but honestly, they are neither the best, nor a good value. The W7s are some of the best in the world, but I would not put them at #1.

You want the SAK-1104 and SAK-1105. The 1104 allows the fitment of 5.25" speakers in the front doors. Think they're about $55 shipped.

I could not find these adapters in the USA.

You can make or buy some from MDF or plywood (or whatever wood) as well. I would put a sealer on MDF, though, since it will absorb moisture. (A lot of people don't and report no problems but I figure why not do it)

Anyone know what we can do about the door panels with bigger speakers? It's not ideal for half of the sound coming out of the speaker to reflect off of the door panel and back. It'll give less output, cause phase issues (which will screw up frequency response and distortion) and make the door panel more likely to rattle.
