Default bad cv joint the problem?

the car is an 01 1.8tqm.

is it possible for a bad cv joint on the passenger side to cause the steering to pull to one side when traveling in a straight line and also cause a slight pulse on the passenger side during braking? also, at higher speeds the steering feels a little loose. both outer cv boots are ripped and im going to replace both front axle assemblies but i want to make sure that doing so will fix these symptoms.

ive recently replaced both outer tie rod ends and the passenger side inner tie rod end that were bad. The rotors and pads are new. i just put on brand new tires and have had an alignment done recently. theres no clunking or squeaking from the control arms.

sounds like a warped rotor to me. really easy fix if that's what it is. run it to a machine shop and have them spin it to check.

it doesnt feel like a warped rotor. with a warped rotor you can really notice it at very slow speeds when the braking pulses. this is just a pulse that i feel through the pedal.

the steering doesnt always pull to the right; its pretty inconsistent actually. i remember imthedevil saying something about how bad inner cv joints can cause the car to drift to one side or the other in a straight line

I don't know, my left cv outer boot is ripped, and my right one is bad. And I'm feeling loose and inconsistent handling lately, kinda like the steering wheel pulls to the left or the right sometimes. Feels a bit weird to drive.
Also feels like it pulls sometimes, but when I do a proper test it runs in a straight line still..

have you had your allingment done recently? its pretty unlikely for a cv to cause you to pull.

yeah wheel allignment might be the first thing to look for. But when you check for that, of course you can check for CV joints right away too. It'll probably be one of these two.
