Hey guys, MY A4 has been sitting for about 8 weeks, was the last time my father drove it to the storage shed and everything ran fine. I have been deployed and am home on leave

The battery needed to be replaced it was completely gone when I tried to start it and jumping wasn't helping, Now with the new battery I'll go tot urn the ignition and all I hear is a click sound from under the hood the starter doesn't crank and there's a consistent loud whining that comes from the throttle body for about 30 sec, I am completely stumped I need it fixed but don't know where to start.

 

Could be a bad starter.

the "whining" noise could be the TB adaption like when you turn the key to accessory.
