I see no mensioned the speed indicator thing that you can set at two different speed that you can set.

You can set one for town driving so you know when you hit the speed limit and it will bleep and show a yellow sign on the display and you can set the other for the freeway.

Also like the red lights that shine down on the gear stick (facelift only I think for this).

arggggggggggg and as far as the locking fuel door goes, its nice to have but when you dont realize that the only time it unlocks is when the whole car is unlocked then your in for a rude awakening at the gas station[:@]ha about a week after i had my car i went to put gas in it and the door wouldnt open im like wtf? so i start lookin for a popper button didnt find one i tried again, mind you there are like 5 people staring at me, started tappin all the way around the door figured maybe it was frozen or somthing then i get another audi owner pullin into the gas station and saw me about ready to toss a fit and he talked to me i told him what was goin on and he told me to unlock the whole car not just the drivers door... wow felt like an idiot!!![&o]
Thats wierd, I've onlyneeded the drivers door unlocked to open the gas cap. Is that a change on the B6s?

everyone knows the feeling of finding some free money after laundry haha... how about after 3 weeks of enjoying every minute in the B5 only to find i have little robot men that wash my headlights!
[:@]!! I feel like I'm missing $20 from my wallet! I read this post and got all enthusiastic about testnig out some of the features (the equalizer, the rearview mirrors pointing to the curb when in reverse, the headlight washers etc) only to realize that not a single one works on my car!
I have a 98 2.8QM 30V made in 06/98, with a bose concert radio and obviously, the power (seating, mirror etc) options....yet, my mirrors do not rotate down to reveal the curb when I shift into reverse and the **** is on L or R, and the radio doesn't work using either the P.scan button or 5 button....as for the headlight washers, this is my second 98 audi without any. On my last one, the little bumper cap broke of and there was nothing beneath it. On this car, I tried using the washer jets with the headlights on and flashed high beam but the headlights were not wet when i checked...anybody know the option code for the headlight washers or which models don't have it? Am I the only one? I wish I never read thhis post to begin with...LOL.

No mention yet about the Infomation Center displaying "2:00" or "4:00". On my '88 the display reminds you how long you have been driving without a break. Time to stop and do a stretch I think the owners manual said.
Yes, if you hold the door handles up for 5 sec. a timer circuit turns on a heater element to help defrost the lock cyclinder for 30 sec. That little flipdown visor by the mirror also shields the reflection of all overhead lights and LEDs in the mirror. Turning on the rear defroster also heats the sideview mirrors. Not sure when the washer nozzels are heated but probably at the same time as the mirrors. Headlight washer nozzles are not heated, just windwhield.
First Aid kits are MANDATORY in all cars in Germany that's why we get them in Audi's too.
There is anmanual release for the gas door inside the trunk just to the rear of the gas door.
Button on drivers side post next to the seat is to turn OFF the interior motion sensor. Use this if you leave a pet in the car.
I'm surprised these is new to so many, almost all this info is in the owners manual. But it was fun reading.
I thought my headlight washers were broken. On my Volvo they wash whenever the lights are on and the windshield washer are active. Mine never washed the headlights on my S4. I'll try the two second trick later.

Alright I need you guys to help me on this one because I don't have a manual, what's the use of the button on the climate control that's on the middle-right side. The square with the horizontal lines going through it and the dot in the middle?? All I know is that when I press it, my A/C blows stronger.

But here's a contribution, I went through hell to get my wheels off because I couldn't get those damn plastic wheel bolt covers off. Literally took me like 20 min for each wheel several times. Only later to find out the tool kit has the "U" shaped tool to remove the bolt covers. Very stressful

how about when the car is off and the key is out and the windows role up and down the lights on the windows switch stay on till 1o min or the door is opened or when your battery dies the sun roof still closes and there is also a tool to close it manually the windows have anti pinch things so you can stick your hand and close the window and it will stop window it feels pressure you can twist one of the post on the dash thing and dim all the lights

With the light on on that button, air flows through the vents (where you feel it most). The one above it is for the windshield, the one below it it for your feet.

So with that center button on, the air flow is filtered to only the front vents?

I thought that's what it was by default if you have all the buttons off.
