The air flows to whichever is lit up, so you can do feet and vents, or all three, or any combination you want. If you have them all off, the air is just leaking out wherever it can...

My personal favorite was when I was first driving my b7 and it started sprinkling and the wipers came on by themselves. Turns out the car has a rain sensor that when the wipers are in the delay mode, they will come on when it senses rain.

The anti-pinch is something I want to set up on mine. Anyone feel like revealing how to activate it so my lazy *** doesn't have to search?

I suppose most of you know that turning the key to the unlock position in the door and holding it will drop all the windows, and holding it to the lock position will close them all, as well as the sunroof. This can be VAGed to work the same by holding down the remote buttons.
mine only rolls the wondows up and not down... any particular way to fix this?

Also like the red lights that shine down on the gear stick (facelift only I think for this).
how do u set a speed sensor thing? what happens when u go over the limit? will ur car shut off? my car shuts off past 65 lol

Phil, it sounds like you don't get the rollup because there is a problem. I'm thinking some contact must be either worn or broken, unless you aren't holding it long enough. As for the speed warning, I think that came in on the facelift cars at the earliest.

When starting the car, especially on those cold mornings, you only have to turn the key into the start position momentarily. If you release it immediately afterward, the starter continues to crank until the car starts.

Works on my B7, but don't have a B5 to test this.
