Just venting,

So i went to look for my lighter that i lost in my back seat and noticed it was floating in 2" of water, WTF!!!! trunk is a bit damp on passenger side and everything in my back driver seat area is flooded........really!!! what next!!!

Sunroof drain issue. Search it out - there's a lot of info on this forum including info on warranty repair of damages caused by this.

 

Pretty sure another guy made a post on this a few days back. You and him should talk about what you ,did to fix it. I'm sure there is commons

You can try using a compressor and blowtip to flush the drains... But someone said it can potentially cause damage. I did this to my 98 b5. It didn't cause any damage really but it didn't fix the problem.

Another common problem is the drain under the battery tray. The drain will get full of leaves & debris , clog up & cause the a mini swimming pool in the cowling area & make it's way inside the car.
Something you have to remember is that the carpet has a 2" foam pad attached to it so the amount of water that you see is much greater then appears.
It would be most advisable to remove the seats , carpet & get things dried up as soon as possible. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are usually control modules of some sort housed under the carpets.

Actually, about a year after I got my A4 (2009) I got a letter about a class action suit regarding the sunroof drain issue and unresolved warranty issues from dealers. You have to clean them on a relatively regular basis, though I lucked out and never had a problem.
