Make sure you catch the bushings/spacers that are between the center bearing bracket and the body. You'll need them. I did not drop my exhaust just FYI.

Good to know. My exhaust is pretty rusty and I'd rather not mess with it too much other than replacing the flex pipe. Good call on those bushings and spacers. First time doing a driveshaft so I'm not 100% sure of what to expect. Any tips and/or advice is welcome! But, back to my question, I don't have to balance the used driveshaft, right? It's already been balanced(which takes place at the U joint?) or am I mistaken?

The shafts are balanced before installation so unless it's bent you should be good to go. Hardest part is getting it up in there without getting grease all over everything. Good Luck. Careful on the bolt torque.

Very good information on replacing the bearing yourself. I think mine is going out so I might have to find a used one or just replace the bearing with a friend.
