its not that bad. you just need to take your time and get a grinder or spiral cutter bit and take your time. just get a vent from a junkyard or car being parted out

if he install the HID like he installed the boost gauge it will be horrible to watch. Sorry mate, your joblooks like has been done with your feets
That's not saying I fucked it up? I'm not trying to start an argument, nor am I sensitive about what you're saying, but really; the extremely up-and-close shots when the gauge isn't pushed all the way in hardly constitute as something horribly done and similar to a foot-job (non-sexual! [8D])

Kraut, I'd pick this over a Podi any day! I think it's more aesthetically pleasing, and it flows with the car. Nobody's going to look up and close and be like "OH EM GEE THERE'S A FOURTH OF A MILIMETER ON THE FOURTH FIN THAT'S MISSING, AND IT APPEARS TO HAVE A 16 DEGREE CURVE AS OPPOSED TO BEING FLUSHED PERPENDICULAR WITH THE REST OF THE VENT". Well... some people obviously may... if they do, out my car they go.

And yes, CIA, the purpose of a DIY is to get it right the first time -- where did I mess up so bad that it totally ruined the idea behind it? I don't seem to follow. Maybe you should post up a pic of your car, let's see if I can find the slightest imperfection, amplify it, and tell you that next time you do something it'll be horrible to watch, because it looks like it has been done with your feet. I've had at least ten people take a look in my car since yesterday (the day of installation) and not one has seemed to care. Who the **** is going to look for the slight flaws in the vent as opposed to the boost gauge? Nobody.

i am not knocking your work or effort..... but you think a center vent guage is more aestheticelly pleasing and flows better with the car than a replacement part, like the podi........ my sir you are nuts........hey someone just called me that when i told someone looking for a project to get a s4.... pull the motor and put k04 or gt series turbo's on it

Podi's are pretty sexy, but I like the flow of this center-vent gauge. During the night, when I'm blazed out of my mind, listening to The Drapery Falls by Opeth, I look at the gauge in a soft red glow, and it looks like the G-man Himself placed it there. Maybe it's the song ******* with my head though. Who knows.

I'm calling you out on this Brian -- if you like progressive metal, listen to Opeth!

Haha, I'm waiting on doing my HF exhaust mani, coilovers, and 3" TIP. You should drive up HERE and we'll take care of it all. Minus the TB, you don't need a new one unless your IC piping is bigger than it.

You know, I'm seriously debating stopping at that point. There's a massive recession coming, so I want to bundle money, and save up what I can so that by next year, I won't be broke when taxes increase and the economy goes down the *******. Given that, there's nothing much that I can do with my part-time job, and full-time college education... but it's better than pissing money away!

Pretty sure he is talking about his timing belt, not the throttle body. LOL

And as for the recession, yup its coming alright. I am glad I have a secure job and that the company I work for will be doing better as the econemy goes down the tubes.

WOO HOO for Gold, Silver, Platinum, and Palladium!

Haha I'm over it. TB could mean anything...

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=TB

But yeah, you're gonna have to help him with the timing belt... since I don't know what to do.
