bose problem
So, I accidentally set my car alarm off earlier today and my friend and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, so we disconnected the negative terminal on the battery. When we reconnected it, we tried to start the car and the alarm went off again, so we disconnected it again. We finally got the car to start and everything runs fine..... except for the damn bose. Every time I turn it on it says 'safe' on the display and won't play anything. Can I fix this myself with simple tools and some electrical know-how or am I going to have to take it to a mechanic?
This is so easy you won't believe it.... However you might be ultimately unhappy.... And here is why. All you need to do is look in your owners manual for the booklet on the sound system. In the front is a code for your stereo. Follow the directions in the booklet for unlocking it. Here is why you might be unhappy. If you don't have the code, your screwed.... The dealer might have it in their database, but I don't know about that. They might charge you to fix, and from what I have seen the going rate is $100+ an hour.
just i lil heads up mine said safe to and i had the.code but it wouldnt work i also brought to dealer **** and they couldnt help either soo they guy said i had to buy a new system for lik 600 i said helll no so the guy told me to get an after market one and i nvr had problems again lol just a heads up
