Default Bose Symphony Radio: What's the Brown plug for?

Hi guys,

I bought a new HU and like an *******, I threw out the old HU before I got the new harness, which means I also threw out the pin-out diagram that the old HU had on it .

The new harness is scheduled to arrive today and from what I can see in the ebay pics - it doesn't have the brown harness (I do know it's the correct harness though).

Does anyone know what that plug/harness is for? I've searched everywhere I could find and noting I've found addresses that particular plug.

Thanks

Google has about half a million pinout diagrams for the Symphony, but the brown plug is for the non-bose amplified speakers and speakerphone (if equipped). So if you have bose you can ignore it.

Yeah, I figured that out right after I posted this, but the "half a million pin-out diagrams" you speak of are all convoluted and not necessarily defined for the 2001.5. They also don't define how to power the front speakers via the new HU (since both front are run in parallel from the factory).

Thanks for the help. Sorry for the inconvenience.
