Nice but it seems that there's a hell of a lot to do/modify/consider just to fit them, considering the vast majority of A4 owners don't seem to track their cars or run them hard enough to see the difference in heat dissipation that those rotors might offer over the A8 setup, which is very inexpensive and directly bolts up...

I'm with ImTheDevil. Don't see the point to this, IMO the "benefits" over A8 rotors are not enough to justify the extra work. For example, extra wheel clearance? A8 rotors just need 16" wheels, not sure what ET is necessary but I couldn't imagine why anyone would use wheels with such a small ET (I bet the would rub on the upright anyways...).

personally. the a4 uses a one pot front, a little on the meh side i don't think a full 6 piston set up is necessary for dd. but i have compiled all the parts for an s4 brake swap. this spring. gonna make a diy because honestly i think i have $200 more invested then the tt/a8, and i am also covering rear brakes. for dd tt/a8 is great, of course everyone would love some porsche brakes just not idea

How much does he MK5 rotor cost compared to the A8?

Is it a lot cheaper? It's good to know they are interchangeable though.

Seems slightly pointless to have to do all this modification for not that much of a difference. both 322 the only difference is the 3.3mm. i doubt most people would notice that. when you can jus straight up bolt an A8 rotor on no spacing, shimming, grinding necessary.
