Default <<BRAKE light problem>>

Hello,
I've posted this problem before about how my brake light stays on even after my foot is off the brake. The car does this sporadically but it happens much more often than usual. One member has assumed that the brake switch would be the culprit. So I took my car for some needed tune up @ a shop who did the job and ran some codes. Found a code that detected a faulty "brake switch". Looks like I need to repalce this "brake switch" but where is it located? Can it be done by anyone who has minimal mechanical abilty?

Default RE: <<BRAKE light problem>> -UPDATE!

Problem solved!! I picked up a brake light switch from VW dealership for $5.99. Turns out the darn thing has been recalled so VW has the replacement. The job took me literary few mins. Really cheap too!! I'm glad my brake light nuisance is gone. No more tapping the brakes to get the light off. This forum is a huge help for us none Euro techy guys...
