It means, your brake pads need to be changed in the front, where the sensors are, which might also mean that your back pads, need to be changed too, thats if you change the back and front,at the same time.

I changed all 4 rotors and brake pads all at once about 2 1/2 weeks ago,got the best grade autozone had to offer, was expensive but well worth it in the end, life time warranty for the front and back pads and 2 years on all 4 rotors ^_^

Red or yellow light? Yellow light, see above (however, the rear pad tend to last considerably longer than the front), time for new pads.
Red light- put your e-brake back down

My yellow 'brake light' text message came up on my display the other day. (2001). Replaced the light bulbs and now I have the familiar 'OK'.

light bulbs (dual filament) at advanced auto were about $6.

On my car, there were two plastic washer type things that held the trunk lining in place and kept me from getting to the light bulbs. Except they werent washers - they were the bolts!! Simply spun them with my finger and they came off. Pulled out the light panel, replaced the bulb. No biggie.

(It was the brake light on the passenger side. I didnt replace the ones on the drivers side - which might be more complicated due to the tool box thing. I'll do it when the need arises.)

Good luck!

Brake pads are easy, do them yourself. If you pay someone to fix your car every time something breaks, you will be broke soon!

If it's a light bulb out, even easier...
