Brake lock up?
WTF.. My girl took my car this morning and came back five minutes later because the drivers side brakes locked up like crazy while driving (almost on fire.) No CELs or codes. 98 2.8 12v Fwd,, any ideas
I have seen a lot of B5s that need the sliders greased. They get dry and cracked boots allow moisture in which corrodes them. Take them out, wire wheel them, sand the barrels they go into, and grease everything with high-temp grease and you should be good to go.
Might also be a bad caliper but I would take it out, clean it and grease it and see if that does the trick. When you pull it off if you can compress the piston your caliper is probably ok. I think you will find the problem when you pull it apart.
