Default Brake/Tail light is screwy.

I have a 96' A4. The pre-facelift style tails, obviously. The tall vertical strip in the inside, close to the trunk lid is lit up with my lights on, but only on the drivers side. So, like anyone else, I figure the passanger side is out. I pull back the cover to find that there isnt even a bulb in it, and that you can't put a bulb in it, due to the fact the back of the tailight itself is sealed, there is no hole for the light to slide into the housing. Is this normal? I'm tired of people telling me I have a taillight out, when I can't even put a bulb in it?

Yes, I searched

Thanks! P.S.

There is a place to put a bulb on the "circiut board" and it will light up, but the housing is sealed on the back of the light itself.. I'm contemplating drilling the housing out to hold the bulb! I'd rather do it the right way though?

You have your rear fog light on. So with your lights on and on your center dash your fog button should be on with a green kind of arrow indicating it's on. Only one side has it and most euro cars have the rear fog light. It is normally brighter for this fact. You can wire them up if you wish to have both working you will need to dremel out the hole and I think get a socket as well. It's also good for a get off my *** light.

Haha Im not a retard ya know :P
No its not the fog light, I know which button that is lol.
Its the three lights on the dashboard. The two (ABS and Brake) have always been on and I could never get them to go away. The other is a circle with three lines on each side of it. I looked it up and its the break sensor light or something like that. Should I just run my car into a wall and total it so I dont have to worry about it? haha.

Don't fret. You're not crazy. I'm confused too. haha

Back ON topic. I've always wondered what that button was! lol. I always assumed it had something to do with my forward foglights so I turned them both on, and left it. Thanks for your help, I think i'm going to put a bulb in the other side aswell. So it doesn't look so, "u got a bulb out" if I ever use them

Upon more research I think he was under the impression this was his thread and you responded that his foglight was on.. haha

His only other post;
"So I currently have a 99 audi a4 2.8 V6, the B5 series.
Ever since I got the car the ABS, Brake, and the brake sensor light have been on. I replaced the front brakes and the brake sensor light went away about 5 months ago, then it came back within a month. I replaced the rear brakes today and the light has not gone away. I was told that I might just have to get a new computer but I have not clue what to do except go to the dealer and bend over as they look at my car.
Ideas?"
