Unhappy broke off throttle body bolt..

so i decided to clean the throttle body. Was pita but i got it. Cleaned it. when i went to put it back together, i tried tightening the bigger of the 4 bolts (the one that has another bolt go inside of it) and it snapped in half. the good news is that there are few threads left . the bad news i cant drill it out or nothing cause its in the back and there is no room. What do you guys suggest? Im really worried, just bought the car few weeks ago.
thanks in advance

Probably have to pull the intake manifold and drill it out on the workbench. Welcome to Audi

To be honest I haven't had to remove the manifold on one of these cars so I couldn't tell you a difficulty. I'd talk to member Doc_DePalma - I know he's pulled them before on the 2.8 and could likely give you some tips.

Get a small set of vise grips on the protruding piece of bolt and turn it out like 1/4 turn at a time.

Cool

sweeeeeet! thanks fellas! no need to take manifold out! I just went to home depot, bought some vice grips (better than pliers!) and after few min and doing like u said quarter turns, i got it out! now if only i knew where to get the new bolt!

one more question:
can i use carb cleaner to clean out the plastics for the air flow?

Make sure when you get the replacement bolt it's the right quality of hard metal, or you're going to be a sad panda again
