Angry Broken Bolt For Ribbed Belt Tensioner -- NEED ADVICE

Hey Audi Forums

My ribbed belt tensioner was loose so I decided to tightened it and I applied too much pressure and broke the bolt.
#8 is broken

I need advice on how to take the broken bolt out and where can I buy another bolt?

PS.My timing belt kit came with new bolts for the dampner pully and I kept the old bolts. Those bolts look similar dimensionally to the bolts for the ribbed belt tensioner. Can I use the old dampner pully bolts to replace the broken bolt for the ribbed belt tensioner???

A reverse drill bit is the easiest way if u can't find one a regular drill bit and an easy out will work

Take the tensioner off (obviously), hit that bolt with some Kroil/Liquid Wrench/PB Blaster/WD40 and use a bolt extractor. I always, always, always recommend Kroil when bolt extractors are used because if you break the extractor, you're screwed.

Or you can replace the whole bracket.
