The axle that goes from the transmission to the front wheel, left side on the car. I know the diff sends out power to the wheel that spins the easiest, so i popped the hood and i saw the axle to was moving while in gear. But i dont understand, since its quattro shouldnt the rear wheels still rotate?

I had that same axle break on my FWD 3 times in a row, rendering my car useless everytime. I'm surprised you're having the same issue with AWD.

The best I can tell you, is that you probably need new motor mounts (specifically the right side) or else this will keep happening.

i removed the driver side axle on my quattro once to see if i could figure which cv axle was doing all the popin and clicking and the car would move an inch with the driver side removed lol.
